1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:1-4
Around 6000 years ago, the first thing that our God did was He created heavens and earth. Yes, heavens as Bible talks about three heavens. First heaven is the sky or atmosphere where birds fly as Jesus mentioned birds of the heaven, outer-space is where sun, moon and stars exist and the third heaven is the Father’s house where our God dwells and there we will meet and live with our Lord after our life here on earth.
Secondly, the earth was formless, empty and it was full of darkness, but the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Thirdly, God said let there be light and He brought light to this earth. When we got saved by accepting Jesus as Lord and being justified by faith through God’s grace, His blood cleansed us from all sins, yes our sins are not covered but cleansed, we are not just forgiven but saved from sin meaning the power of sin won’t have dominion over us and we always have victory over sin and our Lord Jesus keep us away from falling.
Once our life was empty and dark because of sin and traditions of men, but our Lord Jesus is the light of our life as like how God made the sun to bring light to this earth. If anyone close themselves in a dark room then they will not see light, likewise if anyone opens their heart then they will see the light of Jesus shining upon them and Jesus will never leave nor forsake us! Fourthly, God saw the light was good for earth, likewise God saw that sending His son to be light in our life is good and today we are the light of this world as our Lord Jesus lives through us! Let us be separated from darkness but walk in light as He is in light! Amen! Our God gave everything good including His only son because He is good and He loves us! Let us abide in His love!
