Why to forgive

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32)

Jesus said, Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing, “That’s Freedom”. If anyone says, Father straighten and punish them so that they will never hurt me again, “Its Bondage”. We are called to live in Freedom by following Jesus! A true disciple of Jesus will forgive others and will not have bitterness in heart. Its important to forgive from the heart.

Repentance also includes forgiving others who have harmed us in any way. Jesus said, “If you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions” (Matt. 6:15). It is impossible to be forgiven by God if we don’t forgive others wholeheartedly and completely. Perhaps someone has harmed you so badly that you really find it difficult to forgive him wholeheartedly, realize that God has forgiven you and set you free and so forgive others in the same way, ask God to help you to forgive others; and you’ll find that He is more than willing to give you both the desire and the grace to forgive anyone.

When a person don’t forgive others then Satan gets power over that person and it becomes a bondage. “Forgive,” says Paul, “so that no advantage be taken of us by Satan” (Ref. 2 Cor. 2:10,11). Jesus did forgive everyone and that’s freedom! He is more than a conqueror! We are called to follow Him! Amen! Unforgiveness is like a slow poison that kills a person as it leads to spiritual death, its very dangerous. Let us forgive others from the heart and pray for those who persecute us in any manner. Love one another.
