You humble yourselves

WordofGod365.comHumble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:10

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! God’s Word says, humble yourselves before the Lord. Though God’s Word says you humble yourselves, many people pray to Lord and ask to make them humble. Its like praying and asking Lord, please make my tongue to say, “Jesus is Lord”. We need to humble ourselves because our Lord Jesus is gentle and humble and He asked us to learn from Him. God is exalted and worthy to be praised, so let us be humble.

Daniel humbled himself before God (Ref: Daniel 10:12) God heard the king of Judah as his heart was responsive and he humbled himself (2 Kings 22:19) There are so many in both old and new testament where we can see that they humbled themselves before God. Also, God did humbled few like Nebuchadnezzar as he exalted himself, he was driven away from people as he ate grass like cattle and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird for 7 long years. After that he became normal, immediately he honored and glorified God who lives forever and he was humbled by God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 14:11

Surely God will humble as His Word says, The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. 1 Samuel 2:7 But, I’ve not seen anyone in the scripture who prayed and asked God to make them humble, but they exalted themselves in pride and so God humbled them. Today, there are so many songs and prayers that has the meaning of asking God to make them humble, I encourage everyone to study God’s Word first and humble yourselves. (meditate 1 Peter 5:6, James 4:7)
