Loving Heavenly Father

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Praise God! God is Love. God is our loving Heavenly Father and we are His children, He loves us very much. We love God because he first loved us. God sent His one and only Son to this world as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. 1 John 3:16 We are redeemed, saved and bought with a great price by the blood of Christ which cleanses and purifies us from all sin. God’s love is so wonderful.

God is merciful, gracious, just, forgiving and His love endures forever. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 1 John 5:3 If we obey His commands, we will remain in His love. Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” If we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Walk in the way of love, be kind and compassionate towards others, forgive one another, build others up and love one another deeply from the heart. Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18 When we understand God’s amazing and unconditional love we can see changes taking place in our life. In the earlier days I used to obey God out of fear but when God revealed His love to me, my perspective on God changed from fear to reverence and I began to see Him as my Heavenly Father and I started experiencing His love more personally in my life. Abide in His love!
