Praising God

Through Him [Jesus] then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:15

Praise God! We should praise God at all times, He is in control of our life. Some people praise God when they are happy and forget about Him during tough times thinking only about their problems, some may not think about God when their lives are quiet and peaceful but come running towards Him when they face hard times. Praising and thanking God should be a part of us, being filled with His Spirit and enjoying His presence always is the most wonderful thing! Let us praise Him always!

In Acts chapter 16 we can see that even when Paul and Silas were severely beaten and imprisoned, they were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was an earthquake, the foundations of the prison were shaken, all the doors were opened and the chains of the prisoners were unfastened. The jailer woke up and saw that the prison doors were opened and thinking that the prisoners might have escaped, he took his sword and tried to kill himself.

Paul called out loudly saying that they did not escape but were still there, hearing this the jailer asked for lights and rushed in and fell before Paul and Silas. He wanted to get saved and so they shared God’s word to him, he started to believe in Lord Jesus Christ and gave his life to Him. He took them, washed their wounds and immediately he and his family were baptized and they rejoiced greatly. When Paul and Silas praised God, He supernaturally made things possible for His glory! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. Psalm 150:6
