God who comforts

Praise God! The mother loves her children and does everything for them, feeds, cleans, teaches to walk and so on. When something annoys the children or unexpected things happen to them, they run to their mother, hug her tightly and explain everything to her. The children trust their mother and find love and comfort in her. When the mother embraces them and speaks to them and encourages them, they get boosted up and become confident. My mom loves me a lot, encourages me and comforts me in all the situations. The Lord who created us and gave his life for us and bought us with a great price loves us and comforts us much more. Isaiah 66:13 says, “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”

The mother cares for her children and always checks whether everything is right with them. She doesn’t lay the child aside and do her personal work but day and night she is awake and her full interest and focus is on the child. Some resign their highly paid jobs in order to take care of their children, that’s motherly love ready to lose anything for her children. Once a mother of a new born baby had to go out for few hours and so left her baby with her mom, the mother’s heart was fully filled with the thoughts of her baby. When the mother returned back she rushed in to check if everything was fine with the baby. Isaiah 49:15 says, “Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.” The mother will not forget her child, even if that was possible, God will not forget the child. God has engraved us on the palms of His hands and we are safe in His hands.

Some children who do not experience the motherly love are distracted to other things of this world. God loves you and wants you to come under his protection and care. He is there to comfort your lonely heart and give you a new life. David was not considered by his parents and was rejected by his brothers and everyone. Bible does not refer anything regarding David’s mother but one thing that we know form the Scripture is that he took refuge in the Lord and he received comfort from the Lord. Psalm 94:19 says, “In the multitude of my thoughts within me your comforts delight my soul.” As a hen gathers her chicks under her wings and protects them, God wants us to take refuge under the shelter of His wings. If something hurts your heart, submit yourself to God, He will comfort and strengthen you. God has given us a comforter the Holy Spirit to live within us and guide us. The holy Spirit instructs us the way to take, leads us and comforts us. John 14:16 says, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.”

When we are in God nothing can harm us because whoever touches us touches the apple of His eye. Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” When the mother (parents) becomes old, the children should take care of her and comfort her. When some one is in trouble or needs help, go ahead and speak to them, encourage them and do whatever you can to support them. It is better to be open-minded towards everyone rather than forming a boundary around yourself, let us be blessing to others while we are in this earth and comfort those in trouble with the comfort that God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” God bless you!
