Faith is Confidence

Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis 18:13,14 God promised Abraham that he will have Isaac, God took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars–if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Abram responded in his heart and believed that nothing is too hard for the Lord and that is faith! He had confidence in what God promised him, he did not see his own ability or strength but he trusted God and had assurance that the promise will come to pass. God blessed him to be the father of all nations, so he is called Abraham from Abram and inherited what was promised. That’s Faith! As like how a lens gives clear visibility, faith gives confidence that we will receive what God has promised us!

Once Jesus disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat. “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” They discussed this with one another and said, “It is because we have no bread.” Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?” “Twelve,” they replied. “And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?” They answered, “Seven.” He said to them, “Do you still not understand?” Matthew 8:14-21

We should never forget what God has done in our life, here disciples forgot what Jesus did for them, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you, so many things God has done in your life and when you come across same situation then remember how God blessed you and helped you by delivering in the past, He will do the same today, because He is same yesterday, today and forever! Do not doubt or fear! Nothing is too hard for our Lord and all things are possible for those who believe! Remember, God is your Father, He loves you and cares for you! God bless you!
